Chemoradiation

Several cancers respond effectively when chemotherapy and radiation are given together (e.g. lung cancer, cancers of head & neck, gynacological cancers, gastro-intestineal cancer, childhood cancers etc.). Chemoradiation combination can be given before or after surgery as well. At Westchester Medical Center (ZAACI), the medical oncologists (chemotherapy specialists), Radiation Oncologists and surgeons work together in customizing treatment plans utilizing combination of all these three major modalities of treatment.
