Talking With Your Health Care Team

Gathering information about your cancer is the first step your health care team will take. A biopsy and other laboratory tests, physical examination, and imaging tests will be done to determine the best treatment for your situation. Next your doctor uses all of this information to determine treatment options and make recommendations for treatment. They may consult with other doctors and with other health care professionals to help plan your treatment. You may also wish to get a second opinion at another treatment center.
